passPORTS

More than two decades ago, California State Parks launched their Parks Online Resources for Teachers and Students (PORTS) ® Program. PORTS was the first of its kind, elevating equity and accessibility through virtual field trips.

In 2020, PORTS partnered with CALIE to bring park access and engagement to the next level. Together, created passPORTS, a “blended access” field trip combining virtual and in-park experiences to make a lasting connection between parks and classrooms — and between California State Parks and CALIE.
